Style Option: Our default is bright, airy and natural. We don’t pose or stage things, we really want to capture what happens naturally. Instead of telling you to laugh/smile, we want to capture it when it happens. Here’s an example of a standard style:
Documentary/reality approach: we mic up numerous members of your wedding party and use raw audio from their experiences to tell the story of the day. Utilizing raw angles and real moments, this approach to film making mixes cinema with reality. Here are a couple examples of this style:
Frequently wondered:
I’ll allow some of my reviews to answer questions better than I can.
How many hours does this include?
The first two packages tend to match the photographers’ timeline. We’re happy to get there earlier though so we can film both sides of the wedding party to get ready. And if you want the end of the wedding filmed and decide last minute, we’re happy to stay longer. We don’t plan anything else on wedding days; our goal is to maximize coverage of something that happens just once.
What about turnaround time?
Generally this is between 4-7 weeks. Never longer. Many couples have experienced far faster editing times, but we promise that whether it’s a few days or a few weeks, you’re going to love the results.
Do you communicate with my photographer?
Absolutely! I’ve never had any issues with photographers, since we’re essentially capturing the same thing, albeit on different media. Communication is essential and we tend to help each other out as we both try to provide something you’ll always remember.
Can you be unobtrusive?
Yes! It’s your wedding day, not a hollywood production. Some brides want a videographer that is right next to them, even on the altar, and I’ll follow your lead, but most want to enjoy the day naturally and allow me to capture candid moments without staging. I pride myself in being unobtrusive and if guests don’t realize there’s a videographer, I’ve done my job.
